I made this book during a summer course in illustration at the Glasgow School of Art. We had one day to make up a story, illustrate it and sew up a mock book.

The course was run by Cathy Campbell who taught me how to story-board and develop my idea before jumping into the illustrations. She also taught me how to sew the book up and present it.

My story was about a Red ball called Redd who does not like being red because all of the other balls in his village are white. Redd tries to spray paint himself white but the rain washes it off. So he goes to the hairdressers who tries to dye him white however he ends up green... Redd then runs off into the woods, meanwhile, sensing his anguish, the balls in his village paint his house red for him. The white balls organize a search party to bring Redd home, who is filled with joy when he sees his house and how much he is loved by the white balls.
